Andromeda es una banda de metal progresivo formada en Suecia en 1999. La banda surgió a raíz de un proyecto de Johan Reinholdz.

Hasta la fecha, han lanzado al mercado tres álbumes y un DVD en vivo, Extension of the Wish (incluyendo una re-edición con dos tracks inéditos), II=I (Two is One) y Chimera, que fue lanzado primero en Japón y después en el resto del mundo.

Es una banda formada en la ciudad de Estrasburgo a fines de 2001. Abigail Williams - Legend [Ep]

Estados Unidos | 2007 | Black Metal

Tan corto e intenso como la trayectoria de Abigail Williams es este ep del sexteto de Arizona, lo único que han llegado a editar. Formados en 2004 como un grupo de amigos interesados en fusionar diferentes vertientes de la música extrema, en este caso black metal de corte sinfónico y metalcore cazurro (no obstante, el grupo estaba formado por ex-miembros de The Black Dahlia Murder y Vehemence) Tomando su nombre del de una de las brujas que quemaron en Salem y uno de los personajes principales de la novela “El Crisol” de Arthur Miller, era evidente que las letras del grupo iban a girar en torno a la oscuridad, el terror y la literatura, beneficiados del boom de myspace enseguida consiguieron llamar la atención por todo el mundo, fichando por el legendario sello inglés Candlelight Records.

En 20 minutos son capaces de conseguir condensar su personalísimo sonido (imaginad una mezcla entre los Dimmu Borgir del “Enthroned Darkness Triumphant” y The Black Dahlia Murder), de hecho su única pega es que son demasiado densos tanto como para los fans más estandar tanto del metalcore como del black melódico, pero s imposible resistirse a cortes como el inicial “From A Buried Heart” muy trallero e impactante, combinando guturalismo con voces rasgadas y fugaces voces limpias pero con una interesante labor de teclados, sobre todo en el final, otros cortes como “Like Carrion Birds (Evolution Of Elohim)” cuentan con unas devastadoras y frenéticas guitarras que demusteran que no sólo de melodía vive su propuesta y que saben ser especialmente brutales y técnicos. Para los postres se reservan “Procession Of The Aeons”, un trallazo de puro black metal melódico que hará las delicias de los sedientos de nuevas experiencias y callará las bocas de aquellos que critican al sexteto por su condición aperturista. Fue una auténtica lástima que en abril de este mismo año decidieran separarse, pues además tomaron esa amarga decisión cuando habían empezado a grabar el que iba a ser su debut en larga duración.

Banda formada en abril del 2002 por Mark Jansen luego de su salida de After Forever, la cuál tenia como vocalista a la cantante noruega Helena Michaelsen que antes formo parte de Trail of Tears.

Editaron un Demo llamado Cry For The Moon antes de cambiar su nombre a Epica a principios del 2003.

En octubre de 2002, Mark Jansen invito a Simone Simons con apenas 17 años de edad (y su pareja en ese momento), para ser la vocalista definitiva.
